But sometimes it's hard.Ok, do you want to know about GP Costa degli Etruschi? I went there by train daring the rain and I was right because in Donoratico there was a beautiful sun. Last year there was lots of wind but now it was different and the peloton rode at a very high speedy. It's a sprinters race, specially the finsh, after 5 km absolutely flat and without a curve. After a long long long break away by the brave Reto Hollenstein (Swi) Vorarlberg - Corratec the sprinters team organized the pursuit and caught the leader at only two laps to the end. I must say it was amazing seeing Hollenstein passing alone again and again all bent on his bike in the last laps of the circuit, when it was sure that he had no hope but didn't give up. I'm disappointing that nobody, Gazzzetta or Cyclingnews, wrote a single line about him. Ok, it's the typical daily break, but you must have some guts to do that. The last lap was madly speed and Petacchi won the sprint. Donoratico is his race, def: he won it 6 times! second was Loddo (Androni Giocattoli) and 3th Sabatini who made the sprint for Liquigas instead of Guarnieri (second last year).
Last remark: during the race Petacchi had a rude fight with Visconti because of his try to attack in the descent. This arrogant sprinter wanted to keep the race close till the final sprint and... took Visconti by his ear!! Visconti didn't like that of course and... gave him a punch!! what a class, gentlemen....
On the podium before the finish Rinaldo Nocentini was rewarded as best sportman of somewhere... I'm gald, he's a nice guy.
