Gieten: Klaas, what a class!

Boring race, thrilling finish. There was a tender sun in Gieten and when riders passed near the boxes it was at their back, creating a cloud of light and rain. Emerging the front group was small and definite: Klaas Vantonout, Sven Nys and Kevin Pauwels. For all the rest the race was already over when I started watching. "Nys is going to lose for too much selfconfidence" my ex affirmed. We beted but nobody won: he put his money on Pauwels, I on Nys. But Vantornout was in front all the race and Nys let him go probably worried only about Pauwels. At the sprint he couldn't pass him and Klass took a classy win. "That changes nothing" he said - if I got right the interview - about his role in the team. "That's good" Pauwels said. It's a team success: two men on the podium. In a tender sunny afternoon....
