Cycling So far: San Sebastian, Pologne, Utah, Ride London (and me)

Adam Blythe wins Ride London
Ride London is all I have seen of that. I left for Passau on the last day of the Tour de France and I was feeling no motivation to watch Pologne or Danmark when I came back moreover Utah, so late at night, now that Andy Schleck isn't racing it. By the way: he no more needs crutches and that's already something but to racing it's still a long way.
I watched Ride London because I was hoping for - and honestly expecting - a victory by Ben Swift, one of my favourite riders. A victory at home would have been important for Team Sky after such a bad Tour de France. But Swift missed it. Hard to tell why. In my opinion he did a perfect race and was pefectly supported. It was raining cats and dogs but at the sprint it was dry. Adam Blythe was the strongest, he even looked fresh and relaxed in the after race interview. Maybe Team Sky started chasing a little too early: 60 km to go the break-away was already caught...
Andy left his crutches
For the rest, I'm sorry that Mollema didn't win in San Sebastian but 2nd is good. He signed for Trek Factory Racing looking for a more solid team to support his yellow dream and I think he did the right thing. Rafal Majka dominated the Tour de Pologne while Peter Vakoc is a name to write down, as well as Michael Valgren who won Tour of Danmark. Guardini is back to winning: he said a food allergy was limitating his performances and that now it's fixed.
Tom Danielson and Cadel Evans aren't exactly 'young guns' but they showed to be still competitive in Utah, as well as Jens Voigt - at his last race - and Chris Horner, who is going to start the Vuelta to defend his title. Young Moreno Hofland, Wilco Kelderman, Matthew Busche, Riccardo Zoidl and TFR trainee Clément Chevrier showed instead that the future of cycling is very promising.
In few days I'm off to Ritten so I'll watch maybe just few of Eneco Tour. But I'll be back for la Vuelta: my favourite stage race. Unfortunately - or maybe not - my busy love goes there working.
My thought of the morning was: maybe you always miss what you never had so for me it's a 'normal' conjugal life. Waking up and going to sleep more or less together more or less everyday, sharing holydays (and bills), chattering over break-fast, cooking for two (son not included), a loved one but adult available for confrontation and in need confortation. Maybe I'll find out that it doesn't suit me but I'd like to try...
