California Baby! Stage 1: Cav (and Jempy)

Embedded image permalink"What a pity that you go to California..." I told Scott Mitchell - Team Sky photographer - in Siena, at the finish of Strade Bianche.
"California is GREAT!" he was, his pale blue eye looking far.
So there we are: Tour of California again. And yes it's great. And yes it really GREAT when you start with a boom: with a GREAT victory by a GREAT champion like Mark Cavendish.
In add I'm happy to see the Luxebouger Jempy Druker on the podium: he worked hard to get a spot in the pro cycling and now he's showing he deserved it.
I'm moderately glad to not have to watch it :D Yep, I must confess: I used to stay up watching when Andy Schleck was racing it and it wasn't easy because I'm not a night person. Sometimes it was worth of it.... often no - as far as Andy, so frustrating.
Ok, I'm not going to watch it but I'll follow it of course. Now I run to work... or better I RIDE. See you later for the Giro.

Mark Cavendish:
"So proud to finish off @Etixx_QuickStep's hard work today with a win in @AmgenTOC. We'll try & keep the yellow jersey tomorrow too."

Jempy Drucker:
"Good start for me here @AmgenTOC and my 1st time ever in the US.big credits to my @BMCProTeam mates for the help today.up to the next one..."
