Tour of Turkey Final and Furious

"At the start we were only thinking about Carlos Barbero for the sprint but then in the final we entered into the final corner first place. I decided to attack and Carlos said don’t stop, don’t stop and I didn’t stop."

Kristijan Durasek:
”Yesterday evening when I heard the first symptoms of viral gastroenteritis arise during the journey  transfer by plane to Istanbul, I am really worried, I thought of not being able to start this morning.
Embedded image permalinkThanks to the support of our Doctor Beltemacchi, then the situation was quiet and this morning i was already better, even if the feeling of being energy drain remained for tall he stage.
Yesterday evening I could not eat anything for dinner, while this morning I managed to eat only a little portion of rice for breakfast and i raced the entire stage eating only bread.
I must thank all the Team that was close to me in everything and for everything until the last meter of the stage. Regret that I have had the news of the withdrawal of Rebellin after the fall that has seen him involved today, I know as athlete how you feel in these circumstances after having fought in the equal power together throughout the competition, you see frustrated all of your efforts. I wish him all the best for a speedy recovery.
I honestly do not believe that i will be able to deliver great party this evening for the victory, my first thought and intention is to go to lying down in bed now. But there is a small effort that i will do to celebrate with my teammates and all the staff in the evening, i should  do it, they deserve this !”
