Tour de France: Alexis Vuillermoz Diary 4 (translated)

Alexis Vuillermoz
The original French is HERE.

"3rd in a stage of the Tour de France is a good result. Of course on theTour de France just victories are remembered.  But four years ago I didn't have even 'passed on the road' so I can  be just happy.
Yesterday the stage had been nervous. I had some mechanical problems and I lost something. That was one of the stages we had marked on the route of the Tour de France and my 6th place in the la Flèche Wallonne, in April, gave me big ambitions.
When the race has been neutralised I wonder if that would have done the race less hard.  In April I had lost some time because I was badly placed at the bottom  of the Mur de Huy. I had been forced to pass many riders. This time I started it in front and I follow Valverde and Rodriguez, the specialists. The last one violently opened the dance and I wasn't able to follow him but I'm satified anyway.
Moreover because team AG2R LA MONDIALE won the team classification.
My thoughts go to Johan, who badly crashed and fought the pain to finish the stage. Tomorrow he'll be at the start and we'll need him on the pavés. He's a warrior! As far as me, I know I'll have to work and I'll give it all for Jicé and Romain."
