Mountain - Nepal: The Great Himal Race

Image may contain: textI read on Nepali Times about this incredible mountain running race: "1,400 km through the entire Nepali Himalaya, from East to West"!
The Great Himal Race has been organised for the first time in 1994 by the French runner Bruno Poirier. This year the race kicks off on April the 8th near "the Kanchenjunga Base Camp in Taplejung, at 5,140m. From there, they will travel through Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Mustang, Dolpa and Humla Valley, before ending at Hilsa at Nepal’s western border. The highest point will be an altitude of 5,800m."
At the start, also eight Nepali runners. The race has got a nice fb page where you can find much more info, pictures and dettails. Enjoy!
